Description:

This is an inland corridor trail that travels along the St. Lawrence Seaway to the southern shorelines of Lake Ontario, the Niagara River and Lake Erie thru the Western New York region.  It is a tourist destination, created back in 1978, that connects communities and the region.  You can drive it, as a vacation, in about 4 days or boat it.  Attractions, landscapes, historic sites, lighthouses, parks, museums, harbors and numerous cities, towns and villages welcome your stops.

This marked trail is designated as a great American road trip that offers scenic, natural, historic, cultural, archaeological and recreational opportunites.  The trail is 504 miles long, 454 miles in New York State and the rest in Pennsylvania.  The longest recreational trail in America.
