Mountain Bike WNY

Take a Hike

Description:

This WMA and adjacent state forests are partially located in southern Livingston County, just west of Dansville.  The timber rattlesnake is one of the wildlife habitants of these forest areas.  The woodlands, fields, meadows and marshes provide a diverse habitat for many species making this an excellent public hunting area for deer, turkey, waterfowl and others.

Anglers can access the Canaseraga Creek (Newille and Chautauqua Hollow Roads), and Sugar Creek (Dannack Hill Road) for stocked trout.  Several trails are available for biking, hiking, skiing or nature watching.  The hilly uplands are large and the wilderness remote.
