Description:

The Hamburg Natural History Society is protecting and educating the public about our natural resources at this former quarry operation.  The Devonian era fossils on site are over 380 million years old and were formed in this once tropical sea.  Dealing with the life of past geological periods, the zoology of birds, the objects outside Earth's atmosphere and related field activities, the HNHS promotes our natural history.

The site is open to the public during scheduled visiting hours and by reservation.  Enter from Big Tree Road to Bristol Road into Steelton Neighborhood.  Pass Steelton Park and go left up North Street to the entrance and parking lot.
