Alma Hill

Description:

The John R. Luensman Overview Park is on Thayer Road in the Town of Portland.  The view from on top of the Lake Erie escarpment is spectacular.   On a clear day you can see the shoreline areas, Canada and the city of Buffalo.  Visitors can enjoy nature along Walker Creek on the hiking trails and use of picnic facilities.  An amazing place to enjoy sunsets, on this once glacial ridge, in the heart of grape and Amish country.

The Tom Erlandson Overview Park is on Oak Hill Road east of Frewsburg.  It is the second highest elevation in the county.  Oak Hill is 2,060 feet above sea level.
