Western New York Outdoors
A Parks and Recreation Guide to locations for
outdoor adventures in WNY.
Hunters Creek
Trails Park in the Town of Wales,
Erie County.
Description:
For hikers and mountain bikers, this park has been a favorite place for
several years. One parking lot is located on Centerline Road and offers
access to the trail system. Look for the trailhead kiosk with master map, rules and
regulations. It will help guide you thru this heavily wooded area.
The gorge near Hunters Creek can be steep at times and the trails are marked
with color coding.
There is a second parking area off
Hunters Creek Road. Look for the yellow Public Land signs. There is
a small pond with picnic table here. From this lot you can hike a couple
trails over small streams and one leads to a boardwalk. If you are
adventurous you can hike or bike all the way back to the Centerline Road parking
area.
