Around Findley Lake

Description:

A community that enjoys outdoor life and offers unique shopping.   A New York State DEC boat launching site.  Popular with anglers for bass, perch, crappie and stocked with tiger muskie.  Take Route 17, the Southern Tier Expressway, to exit 4, go south on Route 426 to the village.  Fishing access is available at the north end of the lake at a NYS DEC site and at a NYS DOT parking site off Route 426.

Alexander Findley created this lake in 1815 while building a dam for his mill.  The Pennsylvania border is about a mile west of the lake.
