A Parks and Recreation Guide to locations for outdoor adventures in WNY.

Evangola
State Park in the Towns of Brant and Evans, Erie County.

Description:

This park is popular for its sandy beach and swimming from the south shore of Lake Erie.  There is also picnicing, camping, hiking, fishing, disc golf course, and cross country skiing, in the winter.  Located 27 miles south of Buffalo off Route 5, after Muddy Creek and before Farnham.

You can also enter from Old Lakeshore Road where the camping area is located.  The park office and sites are near a wooded section, it has a small pond and nature trails.  The former farm opened as a park in 1954.

Annual Tomato Fest The 3rd annual event was held on August 26th-28th, 2005.	Campground Trail Hiking and bike path along Old Lakeshore Road thru bridge over stream from park to camping area.
