Erie County Forests
Trails in the Town of Sardinia, Erie County.

Description:

These natural wilderness trails off Genesee Road, seven miles east of Route 219, wind thru a hilly terrain of pines and hardwood forest.  There are three well marked trails for hikers, Old Scarbuck Trail, Silent Wood Trail and Bottom Creek.

Other park facilities include a Warm-Up Shelter, Sugar Shanty with Visitors Center, Saw Mill and picnic area.  X-country skiing, mountain biking and snowmobiles are popular here too.  This is an excellent Southtowns journey.  Nearby is Sardinia Mark, the highest point in Erie County, off Allen Road.
