Dobbins Memorial
State Forest in the Town of
Mansfield, Cattaraugus County.

Description:
This state forest is named after Harry E. Dobbins. A boulder enclosed
parking lot with 2 lean-tos, one with a picnic table is surrounded by hardwood
forest. A southern hiking and nature trail takes you uphill toward the
village of Little
Valley.
I found reference to an Old Indian fort on an old map, apparently
the area has some archaeological significance but I could not find this
location. There is access to more state land off Dublin Road, a gravel
road that climbs a hill to a circle turnaround in the state forest.
