Western New York Outdoors
A Parks and Recreation Guide to locations for outdoor adventures in WNY.

Connoisarauley Creek
Town of Ashford, Cattaraugus County.

Western New York Outdoors home

Description:

Connoisarauley Creek flows into the Cattaraugus Creek, from the South, and has good natural production of steelhead.  The NYS DEC stocks annually with brown trout.  Cross over Frye Bridge on Zoar Valley Road to Hammond Hill Road at Cobble Knob.  North of these streams intersection, on the opposite side, is Derby Brook.

From Route 219 south, make a right on Connoisarauley Road.  Take the next right and travel to the end.  I was surprised that the one lane steel deck bridge to Boehn Road no longer exists.  This trail would have taken you to the Connoisarauley Falls but appears to be private property now.
