Western New York Outdoors home

Description:

The upper section of Clear Creek flows southeast from Bates to the village of Ellington.  From here it goes eastward toward the hamlet of Clear Creek, in Cattaraugus County, and joins with the Conewango Creek.  The stream has wild and stocked brown trout with several fishing access sites.  A beautiful drive through Amish country.

Fisherman Parking Area Locations:

  • Thorton Road at County Road 62.

  • County Road 85 between Bates Road and Thorton.

  • Fuller Gulf Road south of Bates Road.

Cockaigne Ski Area
