outdoor adventures in WNY.
Akron Falls
A county owned park in the Village of
Akron, Erie County.
Description:
There are two waterfalls to view in this park, Upper and Lower.
Murder Creek runs thru this Erie County Park and over the
Onondaga Escarpment. A beautiful 90
foot tall waterfall can best be viewed during the spring time.
There are
several trails and paths here for hikers or biking.
An entrance is located from Route 93,
Buell Street, to Parkview
Drive. Take the right fork going east, the main Park Road, to view the
waterfalls region. Take the left fork to view the Lake with Dam, underpass
and a historic old mill site. Traveling north you will eventually hit Main
