Power Outage

12/22/04 - It was about 5:30pm...no electricity. It seems the combination of snowy weather and a youthful inexperienced driver caused this holiday scary surprise. Apparently a Bristol Road resident slid off the road and crashed into a power line pole, severing it in half, at the intersection of Bristol Rd. and Buffalo Ave. Besides the damage, there were no injuries or arrests reported. The road was partially and temporarily closed.

Big Tree Volunteer Fire Company

NYSEG crew responded rapidly and power was restored within 4 hours. Bryant Street resident Kevin "Hammerhead" Leavell (1st from left) discusses his concerns.
